Application design involves many different disciplines ranging from usability to interaction design to information architecture to business analysis. Many Axure RP Pro users are involved in organizations supporting these disciplines. Here is a list of some of the ones we have come across.

American Society for Information Science & Technology (ASIS&T): The Society seeks to stimulate participation and interaction among its members by affording them an environment for substantive professional exchange. ASIS&T edits, publishes, and disseminates publications concerning research and development; convenes annual meetings providing a forum for papers, discussions, and major policy statements; ASIS&T hosted the first Information Architecture Summit and continues to do so annually, holds smaller chapter and special interest meetings, as well as special symposia; and acts as a sounding board for promotion of research and development and for the education of information professionals.
International Institute of Business Analysts (IIBA): The IIBA is the independent non-profit professional association serving the growing field of Business Analysis. Whatever your role -- requirements management, systems analysis, business analysis, requirements analysis, project management, or consulting, if you are involved in analysis for systems, business or process improvement, IIBA can help you do your job better.
The Information Architecture Institute: The Information Architecture Institute (formerly The Asilomar Institute for Information Architecture “AIfIA”) serves to advance the design of shared information environments. They support a global community infrastructure that connects people, ideas, content, and tools. Through research, education, advocacy and community service, they promote excellence within our field and build bridges to related disciplines and organizations.
Interaction Design Association (IxDA): IxDA is commited to serving the various needs of the international interaction design community. The IxDA provides tools and other resources for interaction designers such as a job board, consultants directory, and publishing news and other information through their website. Professionals can connect by visiting the forums to share information and discuss interaction design issues as well as volunteer opportunities for task forces and initiatives.
SIG-CHI: SIGCHI is the premier international society for professionals, academics and students who are interested in human-technology and human-computer interaction (HCI). We provide a forum for the discussion of all aspects of HCI through our conferences, publications, web sites, email discussion groups, and other services. We advance education in HCI through tutorials, workshops and outreach, and we promote informal access to a wide range of individuals and organizations involved in HCI. Members can be involved in HCI-related activities with others in their region through Local SIGCHI chapters.
Usability Professionals’ Association (UPA): The Usability Professionals’ Association supports usability specialists, people from all aspects of human-centered design, and the broad family of disciplines that create the user experience in promoting the design and development of usable products. Their annual UPA Conference serves to bring together professionals from usability and other related disciplines to share information on the techniques and methodologies in the profession.
