The Axure RP Pro API enables programmatic access to the design information captured in Axure RP files. This technical preview provides read access to all of the data used by the Axure RP specification generator as well as additional data about each widget.

The initial purpose of the API is to enable customers to generate custom reports or specifications. We frequently receive requests to customize the specification to conform to a company standard or to generate the specification in alternate formats like XML with varying content. With the API and some developer resources, you can now create your own custom report generator.

The API download includes a sample C# project that generates an XML file containing most of the data available through the API. Here is a sample XML file generated from that project using the Registration System Sample file on the Demos and Samples page: RegistrationSystemSample.xml

The API can be used from any Microsoft .NET 2.0 or later application.
