    Interactions on page load

Quick question...  Is there a way to get interactions to occur on page load?

Have you tried the OnPageLoad event of that page?

Here is an article and video on the OnPageLoad event that might help: http://www.axure.com/p202_6.aspx

    Re: Interactions on page load

Ahhh, I didn't even notice the page interactions section!  I kept reading about OnPageLoad in the forums but couldn't figure out why it wasn't appearing in the Annotations & Interactions winodw.  Thanks guys.

Note: Although it's labeled correctly, I wonder if this should really be in its own section...  when I think of interactions, I don't necessarily separate page from object.

    Re: Interactions on page load

So here's what I'm trying to do...  There are two links on Page 1:  Both open Page 2, but the second link opens reveals a dynamic panel.

The tutorial showed how to do this by passing variables within a radio option form, but how about just links?'

Edit: Ok, I think I got it.  I gave the second link on Page 1 a variable (x) and to open Page 2.  On Page 2, I put in the condition (if variable = x) which would open the dynamic layer.  Thanks.

In my opinion, the panels are organized by object, the "Page Notes & Page Interactions" panel used for "page" object. and the "Annotations & Interactions" panel used for "widget" object. I think that you prefer that panels are organized by type of member. For example, A "Page Notes & Widget Annotations" panel used for property of "page" or "widget", A "Page Interactions & Widget Interactions" panel used for behavior of "page" or "widget".

    Re: Interactions on page load

Yeah, I was thinking something more along the lines of this...  FYI, I use 2 monitors so my "palettes" sit on the 2nd screen.  This is probably why I kinda forgot about Page Notes since the frequently used palettes (Widgets and Annotations & Interactions) sit right next to the work area.

BTW, a couple things regarding the disattached palettes...  First, when Alt-tabbing they show up as separate items in the applications selection box--pretty annoying to suddenly discover that you now have to tab through at least 5 more items to switch to your desired application.  Second, the Page Notes palette retains the "bottom of the page" shape, but should probably look like the others when not attached--it could toggle back and forth.
