My previous post, having to do with required fields, was in the Newbie Forum. Thanks to good advice, I was able to fix tabbing in required fields, display different messages (error and confirmation) based on user input, and pass the user's first name from the registration page to the homepage for registered users.

I placed the login button beneath the registration form and button to capture the first name variable. The problem is that the login button should be disabled until the user has completed registration. When registration is successful, a confirmation message displays and the button (should be) enabled.

I tried placing success conditions (error message false, confirmation message true) in the OnClick event, which would then (I hoped) enable the login button (which had been set to disabled). My approach failed.

Here's the file, with success conditions removed.

Please advise.

The PDF is the one meant to be consumed, but it's a bit utilitarian so I've included my source spreadsheet and InDesign files in case anyone wants to come along and make a prettier version.

I followed the tutorial for this and obtained mixed results. After removing an unneeded text field, tabbing in the remaining fields, once the prototype is generated, skips a field that is now out of order. I tried reordering the widget sending to back/bringing to front. (Do not see a way to change the order of text fields in the conditional logic interface.)

Also, not sure I did the required fields correctly, as I'm setting a single error message (dynamic panel) to display for any unfilled textfield. In the Axure tutorial, separate error messages display for each text field. That did not seem doable in a long form.

The problem is on the Register page of the attached file.

Please advise.

with the great help of this forum I have figured out how to create an "On page Load" action, that will set my widget to the Selected state. This works fine when generating a prototype, however all of my printouts, and generated specification documents do not visually show this. They indicate it with annotations, but I'd like the menu to actually change.

Is there any way to accomplish this while maintaining the master page link for easy updates?

My issue is if the user hovers over the arrow there is no action. I have added an onClick case to act the same as clicking the button but I need to add a hover state to the arrow so when the user hovers over it, the rollover action occurs for the button shape.

I think I may just be missing an interaction somewhere in the list to be able to change the button shape to it's hover state by hovering over something else.

Can anyone help? Thanks!

Its been a while since I've been on this forum but I've recently gotten back into using axure and I thought I'd share something with you (Y'all have been a huge help to me in the past).

I created an automatic carousel with buttons that you can use to select specific states.
It begins scrolling when the page is loaded (You can fiddle with it and decide how and when you want it to rotate)
You can click a button and it will take you to the associated state

In the very near future I'll take away the buttons and add a dynamic panel that will contain controls for forward, back, play and pause.

The problem I always ran into before has been solved by using a master over the dynamic panels.

Hope someone finds this useful. I know similar things have been posted before but I figured I'd contribute. I'll post again when I'm done the player controls and maybe write up a how to.

I'll tell you what I do and then ask the question.

1. I start a new website wireframe.
2. import a 940x600 image into that wireframe. This image is about 100kb in size.
3. I generate a prototype.
4. I look in the "Home_files" directory and find the image that I imported. Its name is "u0_normal" and its 860kb.

If I add 10 images at 100kb each the entire prototype will be over 10megs.

Q. Why does the image that I import become so bloated when I generate a prototype? Will this effect how long it takes someone to download the page if they are viewing the prototype on the internet?
