Hi everyone, Anthony here. I’m the Axure documentation guy. I wanted to let you know about some recent additions to our training site, starting with our new repeater tutorials.
When you’re building high-interaction-fidelity prototypes, the repeater widget can be an invaluable ally. Designed to display a repeating pattern of widgets driven by a set of data that you provide, the repeater is just the widget to reach for when you need to quickly populate a dynamic table, product listing, search results page, or any other design pattern that requires a lot of repetition. You give the repeater some data to work with and an example of what the repeated “item” should look like, and it does the rest! (Learn more in our repeater widget documentation.)
The repeater widget comprises more moving parts than other widgets in Axure RP, so it can take a bit of time to really get the hang of using it. To help you get fully acquainted with the ins and outs of this powerful widget, we recently published a suite of nine brand new tutorials dedicated solely to the repeater.
To start out, learn the basics of working with the repeater’s “item” and “dataset” by building a dynamic table:
- Basic Repeater – Dynamic Table
- Sorting Rows
- Filtering Rows
- Adding, Deleting, and Updating Rows
- Marking Rows
Then when you’re ready, tackle the repeater’s more advanced features, like pagination and live text filtering, by building a dynamic product listing:
These tutorials contain all the information you’ll need to get up and running with your first repeater project, but if you’d like to explore more repeater techniques and uses, check out the Repeater section of our forums.
