Use connectors to connect widgets in a flow diagram.
THE CONNECTOR TOOL
Switch to the connector tool to add a new connector. The connector tool is available in the Main Toolbar and via the keyboard shortcut [CTRL] / [CMD] + .
When you move connected widgets, connectors will automatically reflow to keep widgets connected.
You can change the routing of any connector. Click a connector to select it. Click and drag any of the handles along the path to reposition that portion of the connector.
To revert to default routing, switch to the Properties tab and click the "Reflow Connector" icon.
CHANGING ROUTE TYPE (ANGULAR, CURVED, STRAIGHT)
A connector's default route type is angular; it will route at square-cornered right angles. You can alternatively choose for your connectors to route at rounded angles or in a single curved or straight line. To switch between connector route types, switch to the Properties tab and choose from "Sharp Turns", "Rounded Turns", "Straight", and "Curve".
Editable properties of a connector's formatting include: text font and family; line and text colors; and line thickness and style. These properties can be controlled from both the Style tab of the Inspector and in the Style Toolbar at the top of the interface.
In the Style tab of the Inspector, use the "Line Ends" icon in the "Border" section to set the line ends. There are many line end styles available. Click the option on the left to change the "first" side of the connector—the one that was placed first. Click the option on the right to change the other side of the connector. Or, click the line between the two icons to change both line ends at the same time.
Double-click a connector to edit its text. (Double-clicking gives you access to the most common editing function for each widget type.) If you want to add new text to a connector, you can just begin typing while the connector is selected.
All shape, image, and snapshot widgets have connector points. A widget’s connector points are visible only when you are using the connector tool and only when your mouse is over the widget. To draw a connector, hover over a connector point so that a red target appears on the desired point. Click that point and then drag to the next widget. Hover over the widget to reveal its connector points. Drop the mouse when the connector point on the second widget is selected in red.
